The "Screw Attack complex" is a segmented room in Artaria on ZDR. It is where Samus Aran obtains the Screw Attack in Metroid Dread.
Description[]
This room is located near the left edge of Artaria and consists of what may be considered sub-rooms, linked to each other by Screw Attack Blocks and Bomb Blocks. The upper parts of this room are mostly artificial, but the lower section is more cavernous and rocky. Samus reaches the complex shortly after descending the elevator from Burenia while Experiment No. Z-57 is blocking the routing of thermal energy from Cataris. As such, this is one of the first places where she sees the consequences of the planet's rapidly dropping temperature, such as the large amounts of ice that have covered Artaria.
One platform near the entrance from Burenia rotates 90° clockwise after Samus steps on it, permanently sealing two parts of the room from each other - though she can go between them again once she has obtained the Screw Attack - and forcing her to drop down to a Total Recharge Station that she can use if she wishes. She then discovers a second problem: the lower parts of this room contain entire pools of water that have frozen; because she cannot melt or break this ice, it becomes an impassable obstacle for her as long as the abnormally low temperatures persist. A Chozo Statue is visible in the center of this room, but the ice makes it inaccessible to her. To the upper right is a blue Teleportal, which Samus cannot reach or use yet either. Use of the Morph Ball is necessary to traverse the room even when it is not frozen over.
Once Samus has killed Z-57 and restored ZDR's temperatures to normal, she returns to this room optionally via the matching blue Teleportal in Cataris. As this room is no longer frozen, all ice in it has now thawed into normal water that Samus can move through with no limitations thanks to her Gravity Suit. She acquires the Screw Attack from the Chozo Statue and uses her new upgrade to break through the Screw Attack Blocks and leave the room. When in the Chozo Statue's part of the chamber, the Cave theme changes to Statueroom, which plays until Samus obtains the Screw Attack and leaves. After this, the Cave theme will play throughout the whole room.
By sequence breaking, Samus can also acquire the Screw Attack before defeating Z-57. There is a hidden path through Artaria's E.M.M.I. Zone, through which she can eventually reach the Screw Attack Chozo Statue from a Pitfall Block above it.
The background of this room features several windows showing a massive amount of water, which, naturally, is frozen while the thermal routing system is blocked. Because of this room's proximity to the oceanic Burenia, it is likely that the walls and windows in its background are keeping Artaria from being flooded by seawater.

To the middle right, this room connects via Power Beam Door to a corridor that itself leads to the long drop to a red Chozo Soldier.
To the upper right is a Plasma Beam Cover on a door to the top section of what resembles a generator. That room connects, via a Grapple Beam Block on the opposite side, to the mostly enclosed space around the blue Teleportal. Whether the blue Teleportal is a part of the Screw Attack complex is debatable, as it features the same background as the complex but is otherwise completely sealed from the latter.
To the lower right is a Grapple Beam Door to a vertical room with large amounts of machinery that is extremely cold even when the planet's temperature is otherwise normal.

During the freezeover, upon entering this room, an X Parasite will fly toward the Recharge Station and animate into a Sunnap.
