Screw Rush

Screw Rush is a variant of the Screw Attack recovery move used by Samus in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. It is unlockable at random. When used, Samus shoots up into the air with her Screw Attack on the diagonal, and launches opponents horizontally before she makes a final leap upward.

The move is best suited for KOing opponents near the edge of a stage as it will not knock them above the upper blast line. It is less effective as a recovery move than the regular Screw Attack since Samus covers more horizontal distance than vertical. The attack deals 2% damage for each hit, and 5% on the last, for a total of 15% if all hits connect with an opponent.

Here, the move appears closer to the Screw Attack's appearance and utility in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
