Seed platforms are life-forms found within Leviathan Seeds in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. As the name implies, they are floating platforms with squid-like tentacles hanging beneath them, which are dangerous should they come in contact with Samus. The top is a platform that Samus uses to reach the Phazon Core and the Leviathan's guardian. These bioforms are stated as being semisentient.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Premiere Edition refers to Seed platforms as "jellyfish-like platforms" and "round floating platforms". The name "seed platform", however, is found in the game's files.

- The Kzan on Zebes in Super Metroid is similar to this creature, as both have safe tops that can be stood on, but damaging undersides.
