Semisentient platforms lining up in midair.
Seed platforms are life forms found within Leviathan Seeds. As the name implies, they are floating platforms with squid-like tentacles hanging beneath them, which are dangerous should they come in contact with Samus. The top is a platform that Samus uses to reach the Phazon Core and the Leviathan's guardian. These life forms are stated as being semi-sentient.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Premiere Edition refers to them as "jellyfish-like platforms" and "round floating platforms". The name "seed platform", however, is found in the game files.
