A Shakernaut[1][2][3] is a Chozo robot found in Cataris, Dairon, and Hanubia on ZDR in Metroid Dread.
Description[]
The Shakernaut is a large, quadrupedal mechanoid with two arm-like pile drivers on its sides. It has high defense, and can attack either by firing a laser from its single red eye (much like the Autsniper, another automaton of Chozo design) or pile driving the ground to create a shockwave of explosions. The latter attack can be parried with a Melee Counter. The Shakernaut can also be easily destroyed with two impacts from the Screw Attack or a single Power Bomb. The laser is capable of hitting Samus from an adjacent room if she runs into it before the laser is fired.[4]
During the blackout in Dairon, a Shakernaut is powered down and remains inactive in the background. Once Samus reactivates the power generators, the Shakernaut activates and steps forward to battle her.
Because of their robotic nature, the Shakernauts are unaffected by the X Parasite outbreak later and ignore the X-infected creatures in their vicinity.
