Ship Missile Expansions increase the number of Ship Missiles that Samus Aran's Gunship can fire. Each Expansion found increases the Ship Missile count by one. From a distance, they somewhat resemble Samus's ship, but when viewed from up close, they appear as a missile with two wing-like objects rotating around it.

- The expansion in Hoverplat Docking Site can be duplicated using a glitch. This can allow Samus to maximize the amount of Ship Missiles she can use as well as increase the item percentage to 100% or more using successful repeated attempts.
