This robotic enemy uses its sharp nails as crushing melee weapons. It slowly hovers through the air, and is very similar in design to the Gunzoo mechanisms. They seem to be security bots, presumably designed by the Chozo, but have gone rogue. They have the same artificial intelligence as Alpha Metroids. These robots do not appear in Metroid: Samus Returns, the remake of Metroid II.
