The Shooting Star Flip Kick is a variant of the Flip Jump down move used by Zero Suit Samus in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. It is unlockable at random. This variant of the Flip Jump is more powerful in terms of damage dealt, but it is more difficult to land hits with this attack.
The flip part of the move deals no damage to enemies, but pressing the attack button will propel Zero Suit Samus down to perform a sharp kick. It is not capable of burying opponents, unlike the regular Flip Jump. Zero Suit Samus is propelled at a more horizontal angle, but covers less horizontal distance. The stomp of the Shooting Star Flip Kick deals 8% damage, a clean kick deals 17%, and a late kick deals 14%. The move is similar to the Feint Jump, the down special move of the Mii Brawler.
- "The flip itself doesn't attack, but press the button again to do a descending kick."
