The Slip Bomb is a variant of the Bomb down move used by Samus in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. It is unlockable at random. The Slip Bomb deals less damage than the regular Bomb move, but can trip enemies that have been grounded and meteor smash airborne opponents. This means it is a suitable move to set up a grab or guard an edge. A grounded explosion deals 2.5% damage, and 3.5% in the air.
Official data[]

Prima Official Game Guide[]
Damage 2.5~3.5%
Though this bomb deals less damage, it gives a meteor effect against airborne opponents and trips grounded opponents.Additionally, [sic] the bomb’s fall speed is faster, the explosion is larger, and the fuse is shorter.
Trivia[]
- In Metroid: Samus Returns, Bombs cause Arachnus and Ramulkens to slip and fall down if they explode while it is in its ball form. It is unclear whether this is a reference/homage to the Slip Bomb.
