Spire[1] is a theme from Metroid Prime Hunters. It was composed by Lawrence Schwedler.

Description[]

Spire, as its name might indicate, is heard when battling Spire during the game's Adventure Mode. It is first heard during the battle in High Ground (replacing Pursuit, which is Spire's initial battle theme in the Elder Passage) on Alinos, as well as any subsequent random encounters with Spire during the rest of the campaign. A faster variant is heard as part of the Gorea boss theme when Gorea uses the Magmaul. It is also available as track 18 in the game's Music Test after defeating Gorea's second form.

Like all other Bounty Hunter boss themes in Hunters, Spire opens with a tense stinger and carries a specific bass harmony (possibly the leitmotif for the Bounty Hunters) throughout the song. Spire's melody uses the same bass instrument with a slightly stronger and rougher sound, filling out and blending in with the harmony. The result makes the overall song sound like an variation of the Bounty Hunters' bass harmony.
