A Spittail[1] is a creature found in Burenia on ZDR. It is a grub-like lifeform that crawls along surfaces. When it spots Samus, it begins spewing tiny green balls that pop into corrosive green gas when they hit a surface.
Eventually the X Parasites begin to form hybrids of Spittails and Sclawks, resulting in poisonous worms known as Spitclawks. They also infect Spittails, but their appearance and attacks are not changed or enhanced in any way.
