Splinter Hive[1] is, as the name implies, the theme that plays in the Splinter Hive sub-section of the Temple Grounds in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Its name in the internal files is Splinter Hive - Inside.
The music shares some of the same ambient instruments and sound effects as the Chozo Ruins theme in Metroid Prime, which is also shared with Moth Temple Landing Site. A slow and quiet rendition of Theme of Samus's fanfare is played as the melody, likely owing to the theme's association with the Galactic Federation in this game.
