Statueroom[1] is a theme from Metroid Dread. Composed by Soshi Abe, Sayako Doi, or both, it plays in rooms with Chozo Statues.

Description[]

This theme plays in all rooms with Chozo Statues that hold power-ups for Samus Aran. This includes Aeion Ability Artifacts, except the one in Corpius' room where the Item Cube has been stolen before Samus's arrival.

Statueroom is a ambient track that mostly consists of a repeated droning sound at a high pitch.

Trivia[]

  • In the "Screw Attack complex", Statueroom plays only in the small chamber where a Chozo Statue sits obstructed by different block types. When Samus has acquired the Screw Attack from this statue and leaves its chamber, the music changes back to Cave. Cave will continue to play around the statue if she returns to it later; thus, Statueroom never plays in the Screw Attack complex again.
  • Although it is not a remix of Silence, Statueroom bears a slight similarity to the prominent droning sound in Ele, the version of Silence that plays around Chozo Statues in Metroid: Samus Returns. Samus Returns was the most recent Metroid game before Dread and may therefore have inspired the composition of certain tracks, although this is unconfirmed.
