Samus's Heel Kick in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

An Strong Up Attack[1], also known as an Up Tilt Attack[2], is an attack in the Super Smash Bros. series, which is performed by lightly holding up the control stick and pressing the attack button while still on the ground. All characters, including Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Ridley, and Dark Samus, use Strong Up Attacks.

Samus's Strong Up Attack, the Heel Kick[3] (ヒールキック?)[4], has remained consistent throughout all four games. Samus will bring her foot up and then down in an axe-like chop. The attack is considered a meteor smash. It is similar to Captain Falcon's, but with much less knockback. Due to its high lag, it is considered one of the worst moves in Super Smash Bros. However, in Super Smash Bros. Melee, it is able to KO opponents at higher percentages. The first hit deals 3-8% damage, and the second 5-13% in Super Smash Bros. In Melee and subsequent games, the whole attack deals 13%, and 12% when used in the air. Dark Samus's version of the move is virtually identical.

Zero Suit Samus's Strong Up Attack in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

Zero Suit Samus's Strong Up Attack has remained consistent as well in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. She will do a handstand and then perform a vertical butterfly scissor kick. This move is a variation of the 2000, a breakdancing move. The move has solid knockback at higher damage percentages. The first hit deals 5% and the second does 6%.

Ridley's Strong Up Attack first appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is an arcing rake to the sky with his right claw and wing simultaneously. While the attack only does 6% base damage, it can be comboed.
