You know the Metroid II map better than me. Does this have a corresponding room in that one? I couldn't identify it when looking at the full VGMaps captures. RoyboyX(complaints/records) 03:38, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

It's a good question. After carefully cross-referencing the Area 6 layout with the Phase 8 map, the best answer I can give is that the Diggernaut arena is a new addition to the remake and doesn't have a direct analogue in the original. Here, I am assuming that the elevator room would therefore be the farthest-left vertical shaft in this Phase 8 map, with the adjacent room to the right (with the Stronger Gulluggs and the pit block platforms) being the adjacent vertical shaft to the right; together, these two rooms both wind upwards toward Area 7/the second half of Phase 8. If that's the case, then the Diggernaut arena (and the next couple of rooms as you make your way back to the elevator room) would be a detour branching off that path. --PeabodySam (talk) 19:16, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
