Question[]

This just occurred to me. Do you think the reason for why the core comes out after the defeat of its guardian by Samus is due to the fact that it is attempting to make Samus the new guardian? By this I mean that since the core attracts a strong creature, corrupts it, and turns it into its guardian, the fact that Samus defeats it might believe that she is a stronger creature and thus a more suitable guardian.

Ultimately I'm saying that by beating the original guardian, the core attempts to make Samus the new one seeing as she was able to beat the original and thus is a "stronger creature". What do you guys think about this? Dark Ridley 02:59, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Interesting theory. Could be actually, but nothing official. The Metroid Universe has so many unanswered questions which is one of the reasons why I love it so much! Dr.Pancake 03:48, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Very nice theory indeed. Also, the fact that Samus is shock-full of Phazon in her body might also have something to do with the Phazon core coming out of its hiding spot. These theories make a whole lot more sense than what Samus simply does after killing the guardian: destroying the Phazon growths around her using her newly acquired ability which coincidently summons the Phazon Core (insinuating the growths act like a lock or something?). That makes a lot of sense because I have always noticed that Samus looks the closest to Dark Samus in those three scenes what with the fact she can suddenly hover and does a similar pose to her when she unloads all that phazon. Marx Wraith 18:46, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

What happens if you do not fire at the Phazon Core[]

Curious. --RoyboyX(complaints/records) 17:24, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

  • I'm here to revive this thread because I too want to know what happens if you don't vent the Phazon into it. Can someone, please, tell us? --Rodriguez/Predalien/Gallian (talk) 00:57, August 9, 2019 (UTC)

Isn't it Game Over? Either that or the game/suit automatically vents anyways (around 10 seconds of idleness...),  DarkraiShadowXZ (talk) 01:13, August 9, 2019 (UTC)
