Gender[]
For the record, I do believe that Quiet Robe is most likely male, based on the masculine-sounding voice. However, after reviewing the dialogue of both Quiet Robe and ADAM, I haven't found any instances where Quiet Robe is referred to by pronouns (Raven Beak, in contrast, is repeatedly referred to by masculine pronouns). Maybe there's something I missed, or maybe it's in supplemental material (such as the artbook), or a different language dub is more explicit in Quiet Robe using gendered terms. But unless something can be officially verified, we shouldn't present it as fact. That's how a lot of misconceptions spread on fansites such as wikis.
While "they" is somewhat controversial due to usually being a plural pronoun, the singular "they" is grammatically acceptable for gender-neutral terms. Short of carefully rewording the entire article so as to not use any pronouns at all, it's our safest option for now. --PeabodySam (talk) 22:50, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- This is a bit excessive. The very name of Chozo from its origin means "bird-man race". There are no known instances or implications of female Chozo existing at all. Besides this, Quiet Robe's involvement is limited enough that monologues not making reference to his gender is not unexpected or odd. 176.205.94.120 04:12, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
- There are female Chozo, see Chozo Searcher. RoyboyX(complaints/records) 04:13, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
- Additionally, the "bird-man race" argument is flawed. The "man" in question is 人, which (at least, according to Google Translate) can also mean "people", "person", "human being", "mankind", etc. and is therefore not inherently male. It's just one of those instances where "man" may be used as shorthand for "human" or "mankind". A more accurate translation of Chozo would be "bird-people race"; in fact, the Super Metroid manual even refers to the Chozo as the "ancient bird people".

- I never said that it was "unexpected or odd" that Quiet Robe's gender is never referenced in dialogue; it just means that we have no concrete evidence to go by, which therefore means that asserting that this Chozo is male would be based on speculation and not fact. --PeabodySam (talk) 22:21, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
- I would like to confirm for the record that 人 is not gendered, and "Bird Person" is a more literal and precise translation for the "Choujin". "-zoku" is a suffix that wouldn't itself always be required to be included -- like how you can usually just call it "English" instead of "English language", so the clearest translation for "Choujin-zoku" would just be "Bird People".Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 19:22, 19 October 2021 (UTC)

I can now settle this dispute. Count the more on the Discord server has shared that in Spanish - where a lot of words are gendered, i.e. "amigo"/"amiga" - Quiet Robe refers to himself with gendered languages. For instance, his opening line, "I am Quiet Robe, a scientist of the Thoha tribe." is "Soy Manto Silente, cientifico de la tribu Thoha." Cientifico indicating male scientist, as opposed to female which would be cientifica. RoyboyX(complaints/records) 22:47, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- Perfect, this evidence is just what I was looking for. Upon checking out the Spanish cutscenes, I also see that ADAM subsequently refers to Quiet Robe as "nuestro amigo Thoha" ("our friend Thoha"), which further validates that since he says "amigo" and not "amiga". And since MercurySteam is based in Spain, I trust that the Spanish version accurately reflects the developer's intentions. --PeabodySam (talk) 23:15, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
Gallery[]
The gallery shows a lot of moments that I think would work better alongside the relevant text in the synopsis. Also, there's several shots that are almost identical and don't really all need to be there. Now activating Project: SPIDERS EVERYWHERE 19:22, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
Quiet Robe and the SA-X seem to have one big similarity[]
something I found kind a interesting when I replayed Dread and seen Quiet Robe's infected form with how he looks almost practically the same but with the biggest difference with him is his new soulless eyes.
It reminded me of how the SA-X is almost the same way but it doesn't slightly change color like Quiet Robe which is the big difference between them but still, this is different from the Chozo Zombie/Chozo Soldier and the Zombie Researcher's slime like appearance.
But interestingly this mostly normal but with soul-less eyes could possibly also be how the fake Scientist that try to sabotage the Main Boiler looked but this is just kind of a small little head-canon because we don't see the actual scientist's eyes in-game.
Anyways that's all, this all could just be a big coincidence but I wanted to share either way because I found it interesting.
