Why would you fire a charge combo to open a door?

Also, I was wondering...

Does whoever stated that the Sonic Boom is "The strongest weapon: save for Powerbombs, etc." have any proof of that? I mean, in canon it probably is but in actuality is it?

Door opening?

I couldn't open a blue door with the darkburst, so does it work with the Sonic Boom?
