The Temple Lobby is a room in the Tallon Overworld on Tallon IV. It appears in Metroid Prime. It is a short, narrow, straight, and arched corridor of moss-covered stone, presumably of Chozo construction. Various pillars line the walls on each side, parallel to each other.
Connecting rooms[]
- Temple Security Station (via door. Blocked by Missile Door Lock on opposite side)
- Artifact Temple (via Blue Door)
Development notes[]
According to Zoid Kirsch, the Temple Lobby and other corridors were implemented in Prime to serve as loading buffers for larger rooms, in this case, the Artifact Temple.[1]
An unused layer in this room named "Don't Load" exists. When activated, four Shriekbats appear hanging in the center of the ceiling.
Trivia[]
- The introductory cutscene for the Impact Crater plays in Temple Security Station, which is the previous room. This would suggest that this room is equally or even exclusively part of the Impact Crater, a situation shared with the next room, the Artifact Temple.
