Tony Giovannini is a former game and level designer based in Texas. Giovannini was a level designer for Metroid Prime, having assisted with the development of the Frigate Orpheon, Magmoor Caverns, Phendrana Drifts and Phazon Mines. He was also the creator of the early Metroid 1.5 pitch. On LinkedIn, he states that he "collaborated with the concept artist for future projects on new creature concepts", likely referring to 1.5 He departed from Retro in March 2003 and later worked at Origin Systems, Genuine Games (on 50 Cent: Bulletproof) and Junction Point Studios (on Epic Mickey). In 2011, he shifted to working for digital agencies. He is presently a Scrum Master/Product Manager at T-3, an Austin-based advertising agency.
