The Triskelion is the Alt-Form of the Kriken warriors, which include the Bounty Hunter Trace. This unique secondary form was born through sophisticated military biotechnology. It allows Kriken warriors the ability to biomorph into a three-legged war machine. Since the Triskelion form is smaller than that of an ordinary Kriken, it can be used to navigate narrow passages in order to discover otherwise unreachable areas.
In combat, the vicious Triskelion makes use of a powerful Jump Strike to inflict massive injury and, if the warrior remains stationary, a cloaking field will activate, rendering the warrior nearly invisible to the naked eye.

Triskelion
TRACE's alternative form, the TRISKELION, is sophisticated KRIKEN military biotechnology that allows TRACE to biomorph into a three-legged war machine with a powerful lunge attack. It also features stealth cloaking, enabling TRACE to become invisible while immobile.
Metroid Prime Hunters: The Official Nintendo Player's Guide[]
- TRISKELION
- "The Kriken's advanced military capability is on full display in Trace's Triskelion form. Stealth technology can make the Triskelion almost completely invisible, and its powerful lunge attack allows Trace to catch his foes off guard."
Etymology[]
A triskelion or triskele is a motif consisting of three interlocked spirals, or three bent human legs. Both words are from Greek "τρισκέλιον" (triskelion) or "τρισκελής" (triskeles), "three-legged", from prefix "τρι-" (tri-), "three times" + "σκέλος" (skelos), "leg". Although it appears in many places and periods, it is especially characteristic of the Celtic art of the La Tène culture of the European Iron Age.
Trivia[]
- The Triskelion bears similarity in appearance to the Warrior Ing of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and also the Hopping Metroids of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
