This room's only purpose is to serve as an accessway between the Turbine Chamber and the Piston Hall. The contents of this room include small SkyTown Storage Units and two Crawltanks.

The room's internal name is 0y22_skytown_pit. Despite the name, there is no gap in this corridor - one may have been planned in an earlier design of the room. The keyword skytown indicates Skytown, Elysia, and the prefix 0y22 indicates that this is the last of 22 pod corridors throughout the planet.
