Thardus' version.
The Ultrafrigid Beam is an attack of the first form of Metroid Prime from the eponymous game. It is a ground-based ice attack also employed by Thardus and Ice Titans (in Metroid Prime: Federation Force). While only a minor attack for Prime, it is one of Thardus' main attacks. When either slam their fists into the ground, a path of spiky ice will spread towards Samus Aran and freeze her if she does not avoid it, so she must break free.
