I won't be on for the rest of the week seeing as I am going to Retro Studios to do beta testing for Metroid Prime 3! I'll review my NDA agreement tonight and see how much I will be able to tell you. I won't be able to do any video or images however.

"UnlivedPhalanx" is the pseudonym of a Texas-based quality assurance tester named Jacob C., who blogs on Giant Bomb, and formerly GameSpot. At the time of joining GameSpot in 2005, he was a high school student who published 51 reviews, including of Metroid Fusion (scored 8), Metroid: Zero Mission (scored 8.4), Metroid Prime (scored 9.7) and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (scored 9.5).

In 2007, UnlivedPhalanx had the opportunity to work on Metroid Prime 3: Corruption in the months before its release, as a quality assurance tester at Retro Studios. While he mentioned this in his blog, he was limited in what he could tell readers due to signing a non-disclosure agreement.[1] On August 9, Jacob foreshadowed the Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Preview channel hours before it became available on the Wii Shop Channel.[2] On September 1, after the game had been released, he said "you can thank me later for all the changes I requested to the opening sequence."[3] On September 15, he said "the team is still very relieved the project is over and I don't blame them, but they're on to bigger and (to some) arguably better things that I'm not a[sic] liberty to discuss."[4]

He is not credited in the game, and his review of Corruption makes no mention of his involvement. Jacob left GameSpot for Giant Bomb in 2008 and has remained with the site ever since.
