My designation is Armantula513, (arr-man-choo-luh) but you may call me Armantula. I am an admin/sysop on this site, so if you have a question, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk, or you could try to contact me on the IRC.
We now have a new feature which is meant purely for the users! Wiki Blogs has launched, and now user interaction possibilities have expanded. Some great uses for the Blog feature include....
- Fan fiction and original work
- Op-eds and personal stories
If you are new to this Wikia, and you would like to ask me a question, please leave a message in my "Administrator Q's" section of my Talk Page. If you're just trying to strike up a conversation, please do so outside of that section. Under, please! Note that I specialize more in civil disputes and edit conflicts, rather than technical difficulties or problems with (loading/display/etc.) If the latter half describes your problem better, try talking about it at the Help Desk or at the Admin's Noticeboard, where I and other Admins can tag-team the problem for you! If all else fails, try the General Help page.
Please Note: I will clear my talk page every 5 months, to avoid massive clutter. In the near future, I will have the removed conversations archived. You will then be able to revel in nostalgia. The most recent Talk Page clearing was done on January 1st, 2009.
My personality is unfortunately governed by several factors, ([1.], [2.], [3.], [4.], read at your own discretion) but these should not interfere with my competency as a user. I try to be as outgoing as possible, but I don't go as far as to be a plastic "High School Guidance Counselor" that everyone shudders at. When addressing a possible problem, I can usually dance my way around a paragraph (quite eloquently) to say something, unless I am facing an absurd problem such as Vandalism or Edit Warring, in which I become a Wooden Monkey.
In the real world, (yes, there is one) I have many hobbies that aren't Metroid-related. "What's Metroid!? You really shouldn't be here if you don't know!" ... But I guess that I am still pretty hardcore about Samus. I'll list some of my strangely non-Metroid hobbies, because it's absolutely ridiculous that I have hobbies not having anything to do with Metroid, so I thought you might be interested.
- I am an ocarinist
- I draw, paint, and do other artsy stuff
- I study and practice digital arts, such as 3D Modeling and Digital Illustration
- I study some ancient cultures (such as ancient China and Feudal Japan, specifically in the areas of literature and martial arts) as a hobby. Seriously, I've even eaten Ice Cream with chopsticks, and my favorite story is Journey to the West.
- And... the list stops there! Sorry, but these are my most basic hobbies, and I would rather not go into further detail.

I consider myself no stranger to Metroid-- My first video game was Super Metroid when I was only a small child, and I have been obsessed ever since. I have also completed nearly every Metroid games with 100%, and do hold a 37 min speed run record on Metroid Zero Mission!
I am a very, very, very hardcore Metroid fan. Frankly, if you're some 14-year old newbie, and you get in an argument over a Metroid-related subject with me, it's very possible that you're wrong. If you have over 10 years of experience with Metroid like I do, then I'll consider your point of view with respect and good faith. If you have more Metroid experience than I do, then I'd love to be an acquaintance of yours. If you got into Metroid through either Metroid Prime Hunters or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption less than 3 years ago, it will be very hard for you to win my respect.
(Note: This section is quite out of date.)
I've made major contributions to the Alpha Metroid, Gamma Metroid, Zeta Metroid, Omega Metroid, and Metroid Queen pages. Most Metroid fans aren't familiar with Metroid II: Return of Samus, but I've laid down some good tactics should you encounter these creatures in the universe...
I've also loosely contributed to most of the Metroid Fusion bosses in many different ways.
Pages I've createdEdit
- Power Suit Mechanics
- Fusion Suit Mechanics
- Gold Statue
- Kago (Originally named Fire Flea)
- Space Jump(seperated from the Space Jump Boots page.)
- Shriekbat(seperated from the Skree page.)
- Power Suit Samus
Major Edit LogEdit
(6/3/08) I cropped a picture of the Power Suit from artwork today. I had to outline the entire power suit with white in the paint program. It was not fun, but I think the picture better suits the Power Suit page than that cell-shaded Metroid Zero Mission thing.
(6/5/08) Today, I have finished the painstaking process of uploading and adding official artwork for EVERY enemy in Metroid II: Return of Samus. Did I mention that I cut every picture from a really big collection of art?
(6/8/08) Today, I have provided a map for every area in Metroid Fusion, including all sectors and the Main Deck. It wasn't as excruciating as the Metroid II: Return of Samus enemies, but it was a little cumbersome to do.
(6/9/08) Today, I have provided updated images for the life cycle stages of the metroid. The old ones had several errors & were badly cropped from wherever they were obtained. The new ones are much better.
(6/15/08) Today, I created the page for the Gold Statue that appears in Super Metroid. I think it's a welcome addition to the selection of articles, & I'm just hoping that there isn't already an existing page for the thing. Sound like featured article material to anybody, hmm?
(6/22/08) I have completed the Power Suit Mechanics article!! That thing took 3 hours to compile. I hope all of you are really happy! (And I hope you don't butcher it too much...)
(7/4/08) I have uploaded images for every alternate form for Hunters in Metroid Prime Hunters today. Pretty easy to do, and very pleasing results.
(7/15/08) I completed the Fusion Suit Mechanics page, finally! This page has a lot of information on it, so please enjoy. It goes in depth about how some of the mechanisms in the suit work, and highlights several features of the suit too. That page peaks in letters at over 16,000.
(8/09/08) I uploaded new images for every Metroid II creature. It didn't take nearly as long as the first time, though.
