Vs. Meta Ridley is the name given to the theme that plays when fighting the boss of the same name in Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Bars of the song can also be heard in the cutscene playing after Samus makes it out of the doomed Frigate Orpheon as she witnesses and pursues Meta Ridley to Tallon IV. An arrangement is also heard in Metroid Prime Pinball, and the theme from Prime and Corruption is also used in Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Frigate Orpheon stage and in an event on the Norfair stage. It also plays during the escaping from the Isle of Ancients level of Subspace Emissionary, although, ironically enough, not during the actual boss fight against Meta Ridley (which instead used another remix to the Vs. Ridley theme). It returns in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U on the Pyrosphere stage. This song is a remix of Vs. Ridley, Ridley's signature theme since Super Metroid. Owing to Ridley's cybernetic state in the game, the song is done in techno-style beats. The theme was originally included in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, although it was later removed but for a single mention in the game's code.[1] A slower, darker version of the theme still exists in the code and may correspond to this reference. It can be heard here.[2]

The theme from Prime, Corruption, Brawl and Wii U can be heard here: [1] and the theme from Pinball here: [2].

Meta Ridley

New Play Control! Metroid Prime boxart

A version of this theme given in Metroid Prime Trilogy, simply called Meta Ridley, was first featured in New Play Control! Metroid Prime and a UK trailer for Metroid Prime Trilogy. This Soundtrack Gallery variant is slightly different from the score played in-game, sounding more metallic.
