"Vs. Samus" is the battle theme of Samus Aran in Metroid Prime: Federation Force. It was composed by either Chad York, Darren Radtke or Michael Peacock.
Description[]
"Vs. Samus" is an orchestrated theme with three versions for each phase of the battle. In between each theme is a short orchestral flourish that accompanies Samus shrinking down a size.
The first version features trumpets, high strings that grow more intense about 40 seconds in, and low electronic beats, and it loops after a minute.
In the second phase, the theme becomes more frantic and threatening with increased strings and occasional percussive beats.
In the third and final phase, the second theme continues at an increased tempo with even more tense strings and orchestral finishes. Following Samus's defeat, a somber version of her Appearance Fanfare is heard.
The first variant can be heard here, the second here and the third here.
