Cataris
A Wave Beam Cover is a new type of door obstacle in Metroid Dread. They are purple energy shields over Power Beam Doors, which can only be destroyed with the Wave Beam. At least one is located in Cataris and Ferenia each, blocking access to an Energy Tank and Energy Part. Three more are found in Hanubia, in "Transport to Artaria", the "facility exterior", the "final E.M.M.I. Zone foyer" and the "upper shipyard".
They are similar to the Purple Doors in Metroid Prime, which were also impervious to all weapons but the Wave Beam. However, Wave Beam Covers are destroyed by one shot, while Purple Doors do not revert to Blue Doors when shot.
