A poisonous species of weed[1] is encountered in Metroid Prime Hunters. They are not scannable and appear in the desert area of Alinos and in Ice Hive on Arcterra (in which they mysteriously grow out of metal walls and are of a reddish color). They damage Samus when she comes into contact with them, and can be shot for Energy Capsules and Missile/Universal Ammunition. They are a minor threat. Some variants have what resemble pointy bulbs.
