White Blast Shield

A White Blast Shield, also known as an Ice Missile Door^[1], is a door lock found in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is composed of a powerful alloy that is strong, but very brittle if exposed to extreme cold. As such, it is vulnerable to the Ice Missile. It remains unknown whether an Ice Beam could open a White Blast Shield, but unlikely. The White Blast Shield has four different shapes for the shape of the door it is covering, one for Bryyonian doors, one for Galactic Federation doors, one for Pirate Homeworld doors, and one for Elysian doors.

White Blast Shield is invulnerable to most weapon systems. Alloy is weak to extreme cold.

Logbook entry

White Blast Shields are extremely resilient against all but cold-based attacks. The alloys within the shield will shatter immediately if exposed to extreme cold. Once broken, the Blast Shield will remain destroyed.
