- This article is about doors opened by the Ice Beam. For other uses, see White Door (Disambiguation).
White Doors are doors that can be only be opened by a weapon using Sub-Zero temperatures, the Ice Beam. They are only found in Metroid Prime, although the similar White Blast Shield appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The white color is actually the color of a force field covering the door. After shooting a white colored door, the energy covering it will disrupt and dissipate, allowing Samus to enter the next room.
White doors are scarce, although they are used in almost all areas to guard secret rooms. They are most abundant in the Phazon Mines and the deeper parts of the Chozo Ruins.
White Doors are renamed Ice Doors in Metroid Prime Remastered.

Trivia[]
- For unexplained reasons, some White Doors can be opened with the Phazon Beam (via hacking), but only from one side. Most sides are positioned in a way for Samus to travel through a path of multiple rooms containing White Doors without ever needing to switch out of the Phazon Beam.
