Wide Beam Box

A Wide Beam Box is a large box obstacle present throughout ZDR in Metroid Dread. They often block access to tunnels and passages. Each block is equipped with three round nodes connected to power lines along the side of them. When shot with a regular beam, the nodes will light up but nothing else happens. When shot with a charged Wide Beam shot, the block is shoved into an alcove out of the way. Most of the time, the alcove does not then block another route, unlike Grapple Blocks.

The first Wide Beam Box that can be moved is close to the Wide Beam's location in Dairon. One is also present in Cataris, blocking access to further areas.
