The Windchamber Gateway is a room in the Temple Grounds. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Description[]
The Gateway is situated on cliffs in the Temple Grounds, with no guardrails to prevent a Terminal Fall. It consists of two cliffs situated apart from each other. The only way to cross the chasm is by using a Kinetic Orb Cannon, or later the Screw Attack. The entrance cliff (from the Path of Eyes) features the first Kinetic Orb Cannon and a number of supports to the left of it, connecting to the cliff walls behind Samus. Long, narrow ropes and large pipes also protrude from the cliff walls. The pipes show signs of damage, although their original purpose is unknown.
A massive satellite dish is present on both cliff walls to absorb the impact of Samus's launch. On the other side of the chasm, an Energy Tank is present on a platform that can be reached with the Grapple Beam. The door to the Grand Windchamber itself is blocked by a Yellow Hatch.
The Windchamber Gateway has no known equivalent in Dark Aether; both adjacent rooms leading to such have their respective entrances blocked off.

- The Energy Tank can be obtained without either the Grapple Beam or the Screw Attack.[1]
