Xenome S-a is a Tallon Metroid specimen that is kept in captivity within Glacier One in the Phendrana Drifts by the Space Pirates in Metroid Prime. It was infused with Phazon as part of an experiment, to the point where its central energy core was 70% saturated in the substance. The Pirates considered increasing its dosage. However, this seems to have caused it to become more aggressive or behave differently. It was thus transferred to Research Lab Hydra.
Whether it represents one of the Tallon Metroids encountered by Samus Aran during her raid on Glacier One is unknown. It is mentioned in the scans of two computer screens in Research Lab Hydra, the very room into which it was transferred.
