Description[edit | edit source]
They continuously emerge from their Air Holes in infinite numbers, suggesting that Zebs have entire colonies built within the structures. Standing in front of these pipes and repeatedly killing them for their health or Missile power ups is an easy way to recharge in the absence of an Energy Charge or Missile Station.
In the remake Metroid: Zero Mission, Zebs also come out of pits and tunnels seemingly dug into the ground, some of which are filled with acid. They are the weakest enemy in the game, dying from a single shot of the initially short-ranged Power Beam.

"This beetle monster flies out of ventilation shafts. They are weak, so you can collect full energy by shooting each one that comes out."
"These fly out of air holes. These are the weakest opponents on planet Zebes."
